Jam of the Week: Jackson Browne

Jam of the Week

Artist: Jackson Browne

Album: For Everyman

Genre: Singer/Songwriter

Date: 1973

Sound: Classic 70’s Mellow Rock

Cool Stuff: Mellow out, man. That’s what we’re going to be doing this week. We’ll be focusing on the slick production and timeless songwriting of the California singer/songwriters from the 70’s. One of the best is my main man Jackson Browne with this bitchin’ album. Opening up with “Take It Easy,” later popularized by the f**king Eagles, For Everyman is packed with timeless songs from start to finish. Give this boy a listen and, you know, mellow out a little.

Good call on this review! This is my favorite Jackson album of all time. A wise man once told me that he is the best songwriter of our (his) time, and I have to agree.

  2. Hey Alex,
Here’s a link to a great documentary that’s related to what you’re playing today

  3. Suite: Judy Blue Eyes…an appropriate way to end the show today; Judy Collins’ 74th birthday

    • I could tell you that was planned, but I’d be lying. I’ll take convenient coincidence!
