Jam of the Week: Temple of the Dog

Artist: Temple of the Dog

Album: Temple of the Dog

Genre: Grunge

Date: 1991

Sound: A deluxe reboot of the ultimate tribute album

Cool Stuff: After writing a collection of songs in memoriam for his late friend Andrew Wood, Chris Cornell snagged literally the entire current Pearl Jam lineup and hit the studio. The result was a one-off album from a one-off supergroup at the cusp of Grunge reaching the mainstream. 25 years later, the album has been re-released with a killer deluxe reboot and the whole crew are currently cruising the states, soon to finish up the tour in their hometown of Seattle.
