Show #50: Walk on the Wild Side

A Rock N Roll pioneer left us on Sunday, as Lou Reed passed away at the age of 71. After setting up this artist showcase and jamming out to VU, his solo work, his contemporaries, and those he influenced, I gotta say Lou Reed had it going on. Dude was a legend. From an Art Rock forefather with The Velvet Underground in the 60’s, to joining up with Bowie and Iggy to create Glam Rock, then influencing later genres like Alternative and Noise, it seemed like Lou Reed couldn’t miss a beat. So let’s take a walk on the wild side ourselves and honor the most bad ass dude in Rock.

Show #14: The Heart of Saturday Night

Well Planet Earth, we’re back to spinning records, old school style. I chose a pretty cool one I’ve jammed to quite a bit, but don’t want to reveal who the artist is just yet. You’ve got to guess after listening to the first song. I call that TRR trivia, boom. If you want to know who the artist is, I’ll tell you after a few minutes on the show, so get to listening and guessing! Or you can just scroll down and see the playlist, but no one likes cheaters. Or the post office.
